Remarks: Cap of commercial felt hat covered in red cotton cloth with beaded band across forehead- white background with 3 navy geometric designs outlined in red with yellow box in center, and this outlined in turquoise with red cross in center. Cap is covered ermine hide strips with 2 full bison horns on either side. 2 full ermine hides on either side of headpiece (4 total). Row of bald eagle tail feathers begins on top of cap, starting with red dyed tail feather accented with small yellow dyed feather & fluff on tip (6 of these) and 42 total feathers strung through cloth to leather strip (2"W) on verso for length of cloth. Traces of pink fluff visible where feathers are initially wrapped. The red wool cloth trailer (9"W) attached to head piece. Feathers are tipped with yellow or orange dyed horse hair and white fluff. 4 immature golden eagle feathers attached to brass buttons on the wool on either side of feather band; 2 on each side.
