Handle has design of a row of red and blue water birds on either side of two multi-colored zigzag designs. Between the zigzag designs is a row of four repeat designs of a white bead surrounded by black beads. Multi-colored zigzag and black and white designs are repeated above the handle. Feather shafts are wrapped in white leather at bottom and multi-colored thread at top. Blue and red feathers are clustered and stand straight up from handle. Small red and blue feahters and white feathers with black edge and line at center are at the base of each large red and blue feather. Sheath is rawhide interior and tanned hide exterior with dyed quillwork on recto with 31 horizontal lines in stripes and solids in red, yellow, green purple. Top edge of case is trimmed around lip with striped segments of dark blue and white seed beads. Bottom of case embellished with rawhide strips, wrapped with dyed quills, and separated with single red seeds beads on bottom edge. Coe | Center vamp seam and back seamed moccasins, with attached ankle cuff and inserted beaded panel around ankle. Short tongue upward from vamp. Tongue is backed with rubberbacked canvas - either makes these items date late or was 20th century repair. Semi-pointed toe. Ties at ankle, front. U-shaped design on vamp. Majority white seed beads, with light green row, and med. blue and green V-shape line, and square diamond in red with silver metal beads and pink center. The most outer three rows are horsehair wrapped in orange dyed horsehair (?) - last first two; outer is horse hair wrapped in light green dyed horsehair (?). The decorative cuff around the ankle is pinked and has seed bead design in lines or pink, white, light green, and red. Coe | Cow bone hair pipes in four (4) sections with 30 pieces in each, strung horizontally on tanned hide and almost in chevron pattern, through 8 dark, heavy leather strip. Each section has brass beads on either side of the hair bone pipe. The end two sections of heavy leather strip are separated by cobalt blue round beads, and the center two leather sections separated by brass beads. The extra length of the hide ties (4"L) on the sides are dyed green. The bottom of the breastplate has vertical hide fringe (4"L) also dyed green. Coe | Long, narrow tube of tanned hide, slightly wider at bottom, with added upper edge, rounded and covered with glass seed beads in stripes of white, dark blue, turquoise blue. Four (4) tabs 6 ½" L added to top edge, with V'd ends; beaded in three (3) narrow vertical stripes of white, dark blue, turquoise blue, bottom of tabs in horizontal stripes of green and yellow, all edges in white beads. Body of bag is covered with yellow pigment, and fully beaded in seed beads with narrow vertical stripes on upper body of white, blue, turquoise, side seams in wider vertical three (3) sectioned stripes of white and red white heart beads, then two (2) sections of yellow boxes with red squares intersected with blue line and top and bottom of dark blue with turquoise blue boxes. Bottom 1/3 is same designs as sides, but large and covering entire area. Fringe strip added to bottom of bag, with white seed beads intermixed at top, tin cones and horse hair over the hide fringe. Some pieces are twisted and have tin pieces wrapped round, and painted green. Brain-tanned buffalo one piece uppers with triangular tongue and heel seam sinew sewn to rawhide soles. Lazy stitch beaded vamp and sides have a center band and a band all around lower edge of foot in white with designs of two red white hearts triangles pointing to a box of greasy blue. On either side of band on vamp are long triangles of green with 2 diagonal rows of light orange boxes. A band of green borders the white band around sides of foot. Tethered base is wrapped in seed beads striped in white, dark blue and red. Hide wrapped handle is self-fringed, with section of longer, partial quill wrapped fringe at top and bottom. Coe | Tanned hide of small animal, probably dog, with all four (4) legs intact and tied off on the ends and three (3) leather strips wrapped in burgundy dyed quills, ending with metal cones and burgundy dyed horse hair. Two additional quilled disks (1 ½" dia.) two rows single stitched in burgundy with yellow center, and single green quill wrapped tassel and ending in three (3) burgundy wrapped strips with metal cones w/ horsehair inserts. One disk is same side as legs, other is on the upper - towards end. Top opening is 5 ½" W (one side) and 2 ½" L quilled strip with single width row of medium blue beads on top and bottom of quill work strip. Seven (7) rows of single wide quills in majority burgundy with geometric boxes in dark green and yellow. Down from the quill strip is rawhide slats, wrapped in majority burgundy, and some yellow and green slat.
