NA.203.1763 | ca. 1880 | width: 10.25 in, L: 41 in | The Paul Dyck Plains Indian Buffalo Culture Collection, acquired through the generosity of the Dyck family and additional gifts of the Nielson Family and the Estate of Margaret S. Coe | Two (2) pieces of very thin, light colored tanned hide, bound together at top with hand stitched cotton thread, a third piece of tanned hide (12 ½”L) in a long triangle shape. The two long pieces each have round mirrors attached (1 3/8” dia.) attached as well as bunches of red and blue ribbon strands. Six (6) mirrors on RFP and three (3) ribbon bunches. LHP has four (4) mirrors and three (3) ribbon bunches. A small section of hide has been reattached to the upper right side with blue cotton thread.
