Contrasting white pony and shell beads, and red (coral color) square cut beads giving the look of two red and two white stripes. Few blue and white Venetian beads mixed in with white beads. There is also a single line of seed bead edging of blue and white at the ankle. Coe | Pair of leggings numbered as (a) and (b). Orange/yellow pigmented tanned hide cut with slight diagonal at top, otherwise straight rectangle. Sewn in seam for shape of leg making wide outer flap. Self fringed in narrow strips ranging from 1 ½" at top to 8 ½" near bottom. Raw edged, slightly self fringed cuff with add'l fringe sewn in to cuff. Bottom 12" on leg seam has green dyed single piece fringe sewn through the legging for decoration. Coe | Female doll with yellow painted dress, self-fringed and red painted at bottom, and sleeves, added fringe at shoulders. Painted stripes in red and black on shoulders, and bottom 1/3 of dress. Arms and legs are plain muslin. Hugh top style moccasin with fringed tops, and tied. Painted yellow, with red line going up center. Lower shoe portion is painted red. Little head - 2" across - is ochred on front only with blue/white seed beads for eyes, mouth, as well as dangler earrings and choker. No hair. Coe | Woman's yoke, covered in yellow pigment with green on edge of sleeve before fringes begin. Five rows of alternating black and white seed beads boarder the bottom three points of the yoke in the fron and the back. The fringes on the arms are sewn on with sinewand average about 21 inches. The beads are also attached with sinew. Black and white beads also decotade the collar. Two fringes on each arm still have fur attached. These are wider and are self-fringed along the length of the strip. Lazy stitch beaded band down center of foot has box and triangle designs in orange, white, dark and light blues, green, clear dark red and yellow. Lazy stitch beaded band around lower edge of foot also has box and triangle designs in clear brown, white, orange, dark and light blues and yellow with reddish stains on the buckskin around the brown beads.
