Coe | trimmed willow branches varying in length, short to long/top to bottom, sewn together with sinew through holes in the branches in 4 sections. Top 5 branches are unattached and has tanned hide tab, with "V" bottoms, attached- broken in two pieces - with glass bead work in three sections in geometric patterns. White background and trim on perimeter with dark blue, red, yellow. Red beads in part of perimeter design also. Eight (8) 1 ¼" W strips of red wool looped through mid-center of willow branches in geometric pattern. At top is hang tab of tanned hide, self-fringed at bottom painted in geometric pattern with triangles and small dots in pink, green, gold and outlined in dark red. All machine sewn. Additional decorative back cover - 23"L in blue wool cloth, backed in plain cotton muslin, edged on entire perimeter in red cotton cloth, leather fringe on top and bottom, Large floral design on wool in glass seed beads. Three (3) horizontal abstract floral designs, attached with a stem in: white, rose, translucent green, terra cotta, gold, turquoise, translucent red and bright green. Sides and top are bound with bottom layer of cotton cloth, covered by blue cloth, approx. 2" W - hand stitched. Cloth edge cover on recto has additional 1"W salmon colored commercial cotton trim, machine sewn. Cloth hang tab at top 14 ½" total L with 4"L tanned hide fringe. Same blue cloth with red wool scalloped overlay, backed in pink cotton, with calico commercial trim edging, machine stitched. The red scallop is edged in white glass seed beads. Two red painted lines down center of willow frame - 4 crosses on each side.
