1985.21.1.8 | ca. 1925-1930 | Gift of Herbert G. Houze | The "Bulls-Eye" pistols were produced in Rawlins, Wyoming. Designed by Dr. Claude Bunten and patented on February 26, 1924, these pistols used rubber bands to launch their small No. 6 lead projectiles. They were repeaters (58 shots in a magazine), reputedly very accurate at close ranges, and had fully adjustable sights. The use of metal stampings made them easy and inexpensive to produce. They were sold in America by Abercrombie & Fitch, Marshall Field, and A.F. Stoeger Arms. | 1985.21.1.1 - 1985.21.1.13 | Bulls Eye pistol | 1985.21.1v1.jpg | 1985.21.1v2.jpg | 1985.21.1v3.jpg | 1985.21.1v4.jpg | 1985.21.1.8.JPG | 1985.21.1.JPG | cork | cork | pistol | Bulls Eye Pistol Co., Rawlins, Wyo.
