Carl Rungius: Wildlife Painter

In 1895, German-born Carl Rungius (1869-1959) accompanied his uncle on a hunting trip to Wyoming--and the rest, as they say, is history. Rungius emigrated to America and subsequently became one of West's most prolific big game painters and the first ever career wildlife artist in North America. Next time you're in the Yellowstone area, see which of these mammals you're able to spot!
