All dolled up
The Buffalo Bill Center of the West's Plains Indian Museum has dozens of dolls from various tribes and various time periods. Dolls were important in child's play as Indian children learned the finer points of taking care of others--practice for when they became parents or caregivers for others. Note the materials used in each doll's description.
