Rounded, seamed pointed tip cover. Arrows: willow stick, triple fletched, notched ends wrapped completely with cotton thread. Tip is hollowed end sinew and cotton thread wrapped around metal projectile point that is long base with pointed arrow shaped tip; one has blade like tip. Coe | bow case: tanned hide, fur on in interior of both pieces, sewn into circular form with round piece on bottom, pieced with red wool cloth on bottom seam and some attached fringe. Double seam with added piece runs top to bottom. Five (5) single lines (1/4” W) of turquoise blue seed beads, with small striped segment of dark blue and yellow inserted, running horizontally around top and bottom. Twisted hide fringe attached to underside on top folded over edge. Quiver is same style and design pattern, but narrower. Attached to quiver with strips of hide strip in three sections, and tanned hide strap is (¾”W) attached through the same hide strips. Strap and strips are more recent additions. Bow: slight recurve bow, medium colored piece of wood, tapers in at handle, and again near top, notched ends; string is woven sinew, looped around to prevent strain on bow. Arrows (4): triple fletched, glued and tied off on top and bottom with sinew. Fletched portion is also painted on two (2) bows: red, blue and red striped; green or dark blue diagonal lines; to in dark blue. Circular segments sinew sewn onto bottom of each tube. Tanned hide strap tied at top and near bottom stitched to quiver with sinew. Repairs in rawhide made with sinew. (.2) Wood shaft. Metal arrow tip inserted into notch at end wrapped with sinew and painted with red ochre. Opposite end is notched and has 2 feathers around end that are each split in half and equally distributed around end of arrow shaft. End is painted blue. Sinew wrapped around end is painted blue. Coe | Cow hide, hair on, red in color made into a separate bow case and quiver with a shoulder strap, as well as piece hanging off bow case and fringe pieces from where strap attaches for decoration. Sinew sewn. Bow case has a wooden dowel on the inside seam to maintain the case's shape. Short fringe on bottom of bow case. Bow case attached to quiver with two (2) loops of tanned hide on upper and lower areas. The quiver is made of three segments, and has band of bead work, 3 ¾"W, wrapped around approx. 2" from the bottom. Glass seed beads in majority dirty yellow with two vertical boxes on either side in light blue with dark blue outline and short line of red white heart beads in center. Beaded lines in red white heart beads on the two side seams, two beads rows wide, with three (3) prongs on either end with white tips. Coe | Tanned hide; quiver is one piece of hide folded and seamed on outside edge, with tapered fringe (8" longest) inserted on outside. Has red wool cloth around the top (3 ¾"W) and bottom (3"W), all outlined with spaced white pony beads. Both sides of quiver have three (3) stylized bear paws (Crow style?) stacked vertically down length of piece. "Paws" are red wool cloth for foot and white pony beads for claws. Bow case is attached to quiver in five (5) spots with short hide strips tied through the two pieces - this includes where the tanned hide strap is also connected. The chest strap (1 ¼" W) is seamed in three places with sinew, and self-fringed on both ends. Quiver is piece of hide folded self-fringed (3 ½"L) and sewn on the outside, verso seam. Bottom of quiver has fringed sewn into seam.
