Greater Yellowstone Region & Native Arts
There's not much of the flora and fauna of the Greater Yellowstone Region that escapes the Northern Plains Indians. For generations, their clothing, regalia, housing, tools, household items, weapons, and more, either used plant or animal life in construction, or featured them in the artwork. Within these objects from the Plains Indian Museum Collection are hides, fur, quills, talons, and the like. Look at the designs, too. How do they remind you of the natural world?
