Headdresses and Necklaces of the Plains Indians

This exhibit will be going over some of the headdresses and necklaces of the Plains Indians. Headdresses and some necklaces showed great importance in tribes and the chief or other high-ranking members of the tribe. Many of these apparels contain rare and spiritual items to the Plains Indians. A lot of these headdresses contain eagle feathers which were not easily rewarded and only rewarded for great acts in battle. Other animal parts were used in other plains clothes and also had significant which we will explore. Feel free to explore and learn about the Plains headdresses and necklaces.
