War Attire and Accessories

War wasn't just fighting the enemy for the Plains Indians, when one won a battle or defeated the enemy, they were honored for their bravery. These items they would receive were symbolic and would show the leadership they had over the tribe. This exhibit is showing what the Plains Indians wore in battle or what they received for showing great bravery on the battle field against the enemy.
