Trade on the Plains

Trading was a very big part of the lives of all early Native American peoples. From the Eastern woodlands of the U.S., to even the lush tropical jungles of South America; trade is part of the ancestry of all Native peoples of the Americas in some way or another. In this exhibit are five artifacts that embody some aspect of trade that occurred between European immigrants and Native Plains people. I hope you enjoy looking it over, and I hope someone or some people can shed some more light on these objects, which will help add to the learning experience that this exhibit embodies.
