Wyeth described the excitement of saddling the horses: "In the corral the horses surged from one side to the other, crowding and crushing within the small rope circle. Above the sea of round, shiny backs, the thin loops swirled and shot into volumes of dust, the men wound in and out of the restless mass. Their keen eyes always following the chosen mounts."
