Remarks:
Apache burden basket, natural color with red and brown geometric design, and tin cone danglers, c. 1880. Gift of above source, 1967 catalog no. 482. ORIGIN: When - 8-24-89 Jim Haas of Butterfield said this was Hualapai.(EAB) | Twined split willow over willow warp Apache burden or gathering basket with dyed designs. Metal rimrod coiled in place with willow and tanned hide. Tin cones hung from tanned decorate the rim (Bryn Potter: 7/2013- AMD).
