Remarks:
Klamath basket of twined weave, natural color with dark brown geometric design. Gift of the above source, 1967 catalog no. 516. ORIGIN: When - 8-24-89 Jim Haas of Butterfield said this was Modoc. (EAB) | Plain twined spruce root over a hazel or willow foundation with a full twist overlay of bear grass and maidenhair fern. The start is three strand twining with three strand overlay at the edge of the base. The origin is Shasta because of the extra warps inserted and full twist twining. It is a storage basket-style with no evidence of use (Bryn Potter: 7/2013- AMD).
