Apache water container of coiled weave basketry lined with pinion gum, horse hair loops and braided rawhide shoulder strap, c. 1875. Gift of above source, 1967 catalog no. 480. CONDITION: Shoulder strap broken off. | Apache coiled water bottle on a three rod foundation with pine pitch lining the interior, and some on the base. Braided rawhide, horse hair and cotton cloth handles. The bottle has a herringbone rim finish (Bryn Potter: 7/2013- AMD).
