Salish Basketry Doll: Dolls were made out of materials that were readily available. They were not made to last. Dolls were designed to wear out as the child grew, and they were usually falling apart or lost by the time the child no longer wished to play with it. *This doll is also a good example of a doll made to be sold to non-Native people.
