Muzzleloading percussion rifle, Maynard's Patent, Civil War era, breech loading carbine with Maynard tape primer devise, right receiver marked Maynard Arms Co./Washington, left Manufactured by/MASS ARMS CO./CHICOPEE FALLS, tang sight, two leaf rear sight, patchbox. 1960 catalog no. 229, gift of the above source. Probably one of 1000 sold to state of Florida in 1861.
