Remarks:
Wood chest, handmade with large dovetailed corners, painted/stained dark brown with overlaid light wood veneer star and arrow motifs on sides and front; hand-wrought and stamped cutout iron lock plate attached to front with square nails; hand-wrought iron hasp (missing latch) and hand-wrought paired iron eye nails for hinges for the top; lid has cracked horizontally and is held together in 3 places with leather thongs wrapped and tied through holes punched on either side of the break; interior is unfinished with back of lock mechanism and ends of nails showing.
