Donated to the Historical Center as Indians Walking Horses, this painting was originally given a different title by Russell. Recently, while rematting the work, the words Dangerous Ground were discovered on the back. This inscription corresponds to a work described by Russell in a letter to George W. Kerr of St. Louis. The correlation between the painting and the letter ensure that this work of art is Dangerous Ground.
