Gloss:
Born on a homestead near Winett, Montana, Stockton served in France during World War II and studied art there after the war. He exhibited abstract expressionist work in New York and other cities. The artist chose to return to Montana, where he ranched cattle and sheep for many years and draws upon his experiences with nature to inspire his art.
