Gloss:
One of the nation's most renowned law enforcement services, the Texas Rangers, celebrated its 150th anniversary in 1973 and Winchester honored this outstanding group of Texans by issuing a limited edition of 5,000 Texas Ranger Commemorative Model 94 rifles. These firearms, sanctionned by the Texas Ranger Commemorative Commission, were available only in the state of Texas (Barnes: 1966).
Remarks:
Carbine 1988.8.493.1; walnut case 1988.8.493.2; and round acrylic medallion inside case 1988.8.493.3. The felt on the bottom of the walnut case is peeling away from the edges. Ref. Flayderman: this gun is in a walnut case.
