Gloss:
This U.S. musket Model 1812 is a Second Type. This type has small studs to hold barrel bands, which appear above the bands. Most production of the Second Type Model of 1812 was completed during 1816; between 5000 and 10,000 of the variation are believed to have been made.

Remarks:
