Gloss:
This is a Sharps New Model 1859 straight breech, breech-loading, single shot carbine. It has a Sharps pellet priming device built into the lock. This short barreled variation is believed to have been called the "Wells Fargo Sharps". The quantity made of this unusual variation is unknown.
