Gloss:
This is a Colt Third Model Dragoon revolver with shoulder stock. Manufactured from 1851 to 1861, about 10,500 were made. Of this number about 1,400 were made for attachement of shoulder stock. This revolver has an original detachable stock, also made for model 1855 Springfield pistol - carbine. The cylinder roll is engraved with a scene of a fight between Texas Rangers and Indians. Some of this model were used in the Civil War.
