This pistol is marked "2D Qual'ty" on th right side of the frame. When Smith & Wesson discovered casting flaws, the revolver was marked in this way and discounted in price. No finish on cylinder. Dates readable. Little finish on barrel. Condition: 50%. A rare firearm. Purchased 3/14/76 from Harry Kamenski, Columbus, GA. Manufactured: 4402. Sold #2 less than regular. This piece made in 1865. 1st model; 2nd type; 2nd quality.
