The Model 770 Bolt Action Rifle was introduced in 1969 in both standard and magnum sporting rifles, and in nine calibers. Designed for sportsmen who wanted a bolt action rifle with the features long associated with the Model 70, but at an economical price, the Model 770 was planned to fill a gap somehwere between the popular, higher priced Model 70 and the Model 670, a basic and inexpensive bolt action rifle marketed in 1964. The M/770 was dropped from the line in 1972; a total of 20,938 were manufactured (Barnes: 1980).
Cataloged by BCD 4/91. Needs inscription and dimensions.
