Gloss:
This model continued the same single shot action that was used on the Winchester Model 59. Some changes were made to eliminate the weak points that had been found in the previous model. The M/60 was a well constructed rifle and sold in reasonably satisfactory quantities in a large field of competitive models, until it was revamped and reissued as the Winchester Model 67. The manufacture of this model was discontinued in 1934; about 165,754 were made (Watrous: 1966).
