Gloss:
With the outbreak of World War I, the Winchester firm contracted with the British government to produce the Enfield Pattern Number 14 military rifle. These were chambered only for the .303 British Mark VI Round Nose and the .303 British Mark VII pointed bullet cartridges. Discontinued in 1917, approximately 245,866 were produced.
