Remarks:
This Model 1866 rifle is perhaps one of the finest Winchester examples of semi-relief engraving. Signed by master artisan Conrad F. Ulrich, it features an unusual decorative border at the wrist using Grecian key pattern. Also unusual is the rare depiction, on the right panel, of Diana, goddess of the hunt. Other panels depict elk, deer, bear, buffalo and rabbit.
