Remarks:
Theodore Waddell is well-represented in the Buffalo Bill Center of the West's collection, but this painting reflects a previously un¬represented aspect of Waddell's career - a landscape view of Yellowstone National Park. As an addition to the Whitney's collection, this also helps us develop a wider range of images of Yellowstone - this is decidedly more contemporary than the many traditional views of Yellowstone already in the collection. We are also grateful for Waddell's continued interest and support in the Center.
