Sharp painted this representation of a Crow woman, dressed in an elktooth dress and mounted on an ornately outfitted horse, for the 1906 calendar printed by E.A. Richardson, the trader at Crow Agency. For this picture, Sharp adopted a style reminiscent of the Plains Indian style of figure painting, with strong outlines and a flat application of paint.
