Remarks:
Dress and Adornment - Personal Adornment and Ritual Regalia. Hair ornament - rectangular rawhide strip base wrapped with red dyed porcupine quills with 8 box designs of natural, dyed green and dyed red quills; tied at each corner is a red, white and green quill wrapped double red cloth strip with dentalium shell and red cut plume dangles tied at strip ends with string; tied at center with a leather thong is an oval leather form wrapped with clear purple, red/white hearts, incised silver and light green seed beads, attached to small end of form are 5 small leather thongs wrapped with red and green quills with dentalium shell and green cut plume dangles tied at ends with string; bottom edge of quillwork has 10 dentalium shell and red cut plume dangles tied through strip ends with string; quillwork is sinew sewn to a rectangular strip of old parfleche with blue, green and red painted designs on the back, leather thong tie at top, black horsehair `scalp' sewn at bottom.
