Klamath women's hat of basketry, natural color with dark brown geometric design throughout, n.d. Gift of above source. 1967 catalog no. 515. Origin: When - 8-24-89 Jim Haas of Butterfield said this was Yurok. (EAB) | Plain twined spruce root northwest California basketry hat in a 1/2 twist overlay on a hazel or willow foundation. The hat has a three zone design with one row of three strand twining between the zones. Designs with bear grass and maidenhair fern. Interior repairs (Bryn Potter: 7/2013- AMD).
