Remarks:
Golden eagle feather bonnet. Composite piece. Felt cap; eagle and dyed turkey feathers attached with rawhide loops; green wool and corduroy (recent addition) wraps secured with cotton string; white and bright green feather fluffs (recent addition) at base of feathers. Beaded brow band, recent 20th century addition; white ground with multi-colored tipi designs; red edging. Owl and hawk (?) feathers attached near temples with string. Smaller white eagle feathers attached on top of cap; long plume with feathers stripped off, blue fluff tied with string, attached to top of cap.
