Dress and Adornment - Status Symbols and Insignia of Office. Round medal with with bust of U.S. Grant on front; relief of horse and rider on back; twisted leather string attached at top; many dents on both sides. The U.S. Grant peace medals do not have his name on them, this medal has the name U.S. Grant, it is not a peace medal.
