Dress and Adornment: Daily And/Or Festive Adornment. Indian tanned and smoked buckskin (moose or elk possibly) upper with separate rectangular tongue, buckskin sole with 2 heel tabs extends well up the sides of the foot and it and high top extension are of newer buckskin sewn with heavy white thread. Vamp is fully beaded (applique stitch) with 3 horizontal orange-red bands each with 3 greasy blue, yellow and orange-red diamonds, all on white ground; ankle edge of vamp has a double row of clear orange-red beads; bottom edge of vamp beadwork has a horizontally beaded band white with a top border of orange-red from which are hanging orange-red and yellow stepped triangles. Separate heavy canvas cuff stitched into ankle-high top seam is horizontally beaded with stepped diamonds of greasy blue, yellow and clear red on white ground with a double row of clear orange-red near bottom; outer edge of cuff is bound with faded red cloth with white picot beaded edging. Leather thong ties secured through holes at heel and front edges then wrap around high top.
