In blue ink on old tape labels on soles: no 50 - Alaskin [sic]/seal skin/moccasin
Remarks:
Dress and Adornment, Daily and/or Festive Adornment. Hair-on sealskin, blonde with brown spots, one piece soles and sides gathered at toes to large oblong apron of orange felt, T heel seam, sealskin binding around upper edges. Apron is applique stitch beaded with an eagle with white head and tail, black wings and a pumpkin triangle flaned by 2 green crescents on its chest. Insides are lined with pink flannel except aprons which are hair side in sealskin.
