228.69.1 - Natal charm, lizard shape, muslin. Lazy-stitch beaded on top in yellow with 2 clear green bands along body, each band has a yellow cross with red/white hearts center; royal blue mouth, eyes and 10 spots down spine. White leather thong tail wrap beaded in bands of clear green and red/white hearts; end split into 3 tassels. Whtie leather thong legs wrap beaded in bands of clear green, red/white hearts and yellow; left side leg ends split into 6 tassels, right front leg end split into 5 tassels, right rear leg end split into 4 tassels. Condition: very good; lightly soiled, 2 small holes in muslin bottom of head. 228.69.2 - Belt and knife scabbard. Commercially tanned dark brown leather belt, 1" looped and riveted leather strap at one end with rectangular metal buckle (2 1/2 x 1 1/2"), 1" wide 14" long 12 hole leather strap sinew sewn 3" in from other end. Belt is trimmed with 2 1/2" diameter round headed nickle-silver conchas with copper on top and copper bands around edge. Commercially tanned brown leather knife scabbard, one piece fold over design with double row of brass tacks along edges. Matching leather belt loop (5/8" x 4 3/8") laced to scabbard back with leather thong. Condition: Belt is missing 1st and last 3 conchas; Scabbard is missing about half of its brass tacks, has deep rectangular gouges center front and back. 228.69.3.1 - Hide quiver with bow and arrows; red cloth beneath side wrapping; worn and dirty; triangular shaped with fringe off top opening and closed bottom. Attached hide bow holder with fringe. 228.69.3.2 - Long wooden bow with sinew wrapped around both ends and three bands of sinew around center. Bow is located in quiver holder. 228.69.3.3 - 228.69.3.7 - Wooden arrows with metal tips attached with sinew. Feathers attached to opposite end with sinew. Arrow is located in quiver. 228.69.4 - Tomahawk with wooden handle and metal head; metal tacks pressed into top part of handle to create a design. Handle fits into metal head; one end of head is tubular with incised lines, the other is triangular with a blade at the wider end. 228.69.5 - War club with a hide wrapped handle with beaded holder around oblong stone. Red panel with white beads and quilled sinew hangs from handle end. Long grey hair piece extends from end of red panel. One end of stone is chipped away to expose crystallized rock. 228.69.6 - War club with handle wrapped in red, orange and green quill work - end has long strands with metal conchos encasing yellow horse hair. Quilled loop around oblong red stone with pointed ends. 228.69.7 - War club with handle beaded in alternating yellow, blue, lt.blue and red bands. Long orange hair piece attached to end of handle. Beaded loop with blue rectangles around oblong black stone. Small feathers attached with sinew to loop. 228.69.8.1 - 228.69.8.2 - Pair of three-point/prong antlers. 228.69.9 - Pipe bag with long, rectangular hide bag with blue, white and yellow beadwork. Alternating strip of blue and white beads down left side. White background with yellow and blue triangle and rectangle design along bottom of bag. Orange quilled strands extend from bottom; green, purple, red, white and blue square designs are created by quill strands. Fringe hangs from bottom. 228.69.10 - Rectangular wooden panel painted with black paint to resemble a door. In the center are attached several objects: quiver with bow and five arrows, three war clubs, tomahawk, bag, and a pair of antlers.
