"The penetrating sight of this October full moon rising stopped me in my tracks. I completed a very quick (15 minute) color study to solidify my memory of the evening. The idea to add the grazing sheep came several weeks later as I was completing drawings of the barn and trees. This final version has been a work in progress for more than two years, " explained the artist.
