Brass flask with so-called shell design. Full length 6 5/8 inches; length of charging neck 1 1/8 inches. Powder cutoff of spring type on charging neck is missing and wood plug has been inserted in the end. No makers name. Typical type of flask used with late flintlock Kentucky type rifles and throughout the period of common use of percussion lock rifles. (Tom Hall notes.)
