The Paul Dyck Plains Indian Buffalo Culture Collection, acquired through the generosity of the Dyck family and additional gifts of the Nielson Family and the Estate of Margaret S. Coe
Ten (10) white body, brown tipped feathers, clipped on the length in "Vs." Each bound with pink yarn and stitched loosely to tanned hide bund handle, with six fringe pieces (4"L). Front of each feather is painted in two areas with a red, blue and a yellow/orange stripe (order changes on each feather). Base of each has clipped smaller, plain feather piece on one side, dyed feather fluff on other. Tips of each has remnants of adhesive and colored feather fluff. Wood base handle is wrapped in tanned hide, and is painted in thin stripes, pink, green blue, orange/yellow. Fringe has yellow/orange dots painted length of each piece.
