Gloss:
Raynolds synthesizes an array of influences, from classical antique art to tribal arts, in her sculptures of animal subjects. She states, "I have concerned myself with the beauty and elegance of the animal form, as well as with the animal spirit." In Shadow, Raynolds employs abstraction and repetition to portray the graceful cervid (deer) family.
