Remarks:
Dress and Adornment - Personal Adornment and Ritual Regalia. Society staff ? - wood; carved in shape of horse hoof at top; round shaft with square section in middle; wooden ring around shaft near top; painted in green, red, and black. According to the collectors, this is a dance wand for the Horse Dance, Sioux, ca. 1880.
