The Paul Dyck Plains Indian Buffalo Culture Collection, acquired through the generosity of the Dyck family and additional gifts of the Nielson Family and the Estate of Margaret S. Coe
Tanned hide, envelope shape with 25 bands of quillwork, with 3 sections of 5 rows, and 2 sections of 5 single rows. All are one-quill, diagonally sewn with majority red dyed porcupine quills, with some purple, green and yellow lines and boxes, interspersed with four vertical rows of red dyed feather fluffs. Top flap and two side edges beaded in glass seed beads, sinew stitched in medium blue, dark blue, white, green, yellow, and iridescent red in boxes and bars; metal cones with red dyed horse hair inserts hang from beaded areas. Three leather ties on front. Two short ties on either side on bottom. Verso is plain.
