Remarks:
Germantown serape, Man's wearing blanket, Navajo unknown weaver. Firmly and smoothly executed blanket weave having 10 warp and 50-54 weft threads to the linear inch. Shows normal wear; selvage cords broken in places, corner tassels missing, a few small holes, minor damage at the ends, very good condition. Workmanship is excellent. Lazy lines numerous but tight and inconspicuous. (Probably late 1870s). Large loosely planned serrated interlocking diamond design, which contains smaller design elements - bars, broken serrated triangle parts, etc. in blue and white. Good condition. JBW dates .
