Gloss:
One of the first artists to live permanently in the state of Wyoming, Gollings settled in the Sheridan area to work as a cowboy. He began painting based on his experiences. Largely self-taught, he obtained some artistic training in Chicago and also learned from other artists such as Charles M. Russell and Joseph Henry Sharp.
