Ritual and Recreation: Toys. Round top board base covered all over with leather (elk?); beaded floral design at top with red and clear pink 5-petal flowers and clear kelly green leaves; leather fringe adjacent to head opening which is lined with pink and white floral print cotton material; laced front with an ornamental string of round white beads, light blue, greasy blue, clear green, black, clear and assorted other pony beads with a bone elk tooth and a serrated edged round piece of shell; back of carrier has a strip of fringe at the top and a leather strap handle; doll in carrier has a leather face with stitched nose, painted black eyes and brows, painted red mouth and cheeks and medium brown human hair sewn on with black thread; white knit stocking head with wool batting body wrapped with yellow, blue and pink on white cotton cloth that has 2 machine stitched seams and pink binding at upper edge-perhaps the sleeve from a dress; carrier is also lined and padded with white knit stocking material.
